Abi Njie signs for Scone

Off the park this week, Scone have welcomed back Abi Njie to Farquharson Park who agreed to sign for the Jaggies and has gone straight into training with the rest of the squad. In Abi’s last season with Scone he managed an impressive 20 goals in as many league games and picked up the Players Player of the Year award shared with Craig Mitchell before moving on to Super League side Kirriemuir Thistle. Manager Derek Lawson told Jaggie News tonight: ” We are delighted to bring Abi back to the Club. He has scored a lot of goals at this level and I hope he can score many more goals for Scone. I also think it is important to have good people like Abi around at the Club“. Along with other members of the squad who this week have also agreed to extend their time with Scone, the manager will be looking to finish the season as strongly as possible as well as preparing for next.

This weekend Scone have a break from League action with the 3rd Round of the DJ Laing East Region Cup v Kinnoull. Kick off is 2:30 pm at Farquharson Park, Scone a preview of which we will bring you in the morning.
