Brechin Vics – matchday preview

This Saturday Scone travel to Brechin in the Premier League North for a 2.30pm kick off. The last time these 2 sides met was at Farquharson Park back in November when Scone won 7-1 including goals from Stephen Moon, Andrew Mackenzie, Martin Strachan, Ross Mitchell, Sean Whitworth & 2 goals from Darren Gray. Scone come into this game off the back of a draw with Luncarty following a run of 9 back to back wins where as Brechin have picked up 1 win & a draw in their last 7 games, however Scone can’t afford to be complacent as they look to finish the League campaign as strongly as possible. Scone manger Derek Lawson has no new injury concerns ahead of today’s match & should have a full squad at his disposal. For those unable to make the game, coverage will be on our sister twitter account @jaggieslive and on the website available here from 2:15pm and we hope to bring you a match report & photo’s from the game over the coming days.

Off the park this week, Scone have been drawn against Broughty Athletic in the quarter final of the DJ Laing East Region Cup date TBC. Having also been eliminated from the Signature Signs Cup cup after the first round of group matches, Scone now find themselves playing in a Consolation Cup which sees them in a section with Luncarty & Coupar Angus with Scone’s first game on Wednesday 24th April at home to Luncarty at 6.45pm.

Elsewhere today in the Premier League North:
