Lochore Welfare – matchday preview

Today Scone travel through to Fife to play Lochore Welfare for a 2pm kick off. For those travelling through to the game Central Park is in Crosshill, Fife KY5 6AN. The last time these 2 sides met was back in September at Farquharson Park with Scone winning 3-0. Stephen Moon & Ross Mitchell were both on the scoresheet that day and the result was the start of an unbeaten run that Scone would love to repeat today. Manager Derek Lawson (sponsored by Graham Milne) can welcome back Ross Mitchell but is without Wille Laing, Fraser MacDonald and Jamie Ayton. The Welfare have won half of their home games with Scone winning half of their away games, the form favours Scone who will be looking to bounce back from last weeks disappointment but this has the potential of being a tricky game. This is only 1 of 3 League games in the North Division with Dundee Violet at home to Arbroath Vics and Newburgh at home to Forfar Albion. We will bring you coverage from Crosshill on our sister twitter account @jaggieslive and on the website from 1.45pm. We will bring you a match report, pictures & a summary of todays game after the weekend.

Off the pitch this week, Scone were in the hat for the 3rd round of the Scottish Junior Cup and drew a home tie against Kilsyth Rangers to be played on Saturday 25th November at Farquharson Park. The “Wee Gers” currently play in the West Super League First Division and are in the same League as Irvine Meadow who Scone played so well against in previous years of this competition.
