Neilston – matchday preview

Today Scone play their first home game of the season and we’re delighted to welcome Neilston Juniors to Farquharson Park in the Macron Scottish Junior Cup for a 2:30pm kick off. We would like to thank all at the Community Club, the tradesmen and volunteers that have completed the upgrading of the changing facilities in time for today’s visitors which are now looking to be suitable for the wider needs of the Club.

With 129 Club’s competing in this years Junior Cup, today’s tie is Round 2 of the competition & is the first time the 2 sides have met. Neilston currently play in the West Region Championship having been promoted via the play-offs last season and will be tough opponents for Scone today. Neilston play in the same League as Kilsyth who beat Scone last year in the Cup but also Benburb who Scone beat on penalties on an unforgettable afternoon in Govan in 2015. We look forward to extending our hospitality to today’s visitors at the Wheel Inn who we would also like to thank for their continued support. Entry for today’s game is Adults: £6 with seniors & children £3. A reminder that Season Tickets are not valid for today’s game but with all of Scone’s home games still to come you can pick one up at today’s game which will also give you 20% off your food bill at the Wheel Inn. For those unable to attend today’s game, coverage will be on our sister twitter account @jaggieslive and on the website available here from 2.15pm and we hope to bring you a match report & photo’s from the game over the weekend.
