Newburgh – matchday preview

Today sees Scone travel to Newburgh for their penultimate game of the season for a 2.30pm kick off. Our hosts today are one of a handful of teams still with games to complete and as such were one of 6 sides that had midweek games this week as they look to catch up with the rest of the League fixtures. Newburgh lost to Luncarty on Wednesday night 5-0, East Craigie won 5-2 at home to Forfar Albion while Dundee North End extended their lead at the top by winning 2-0 away to Lochee Harp. The updated League table is available here. The reverse of today’s fixture saw Scone win 4-1 against Newburgh in Scone back in August including a goal from Kevin Sinclair who will be available in today’s squad. Coverage of today’s game will be on our sister twitter account @jaggieslive & the website from 2.15pm and we will bring you a match report & summary of today’s results over the weekend. There is no game for Scone next weekend as the remaining North Division sides fulfil their remaining fixtures, so the earliest Scone could finish the season will be the following Saturday, 12th May. Due to a number of weekend events in Scone during May we will be looking to hold our End Of Season Awards & Presentation night on Friday 25th May at the Wheel Inn, Scone. Details of which we will bring you over the next week or so, as always, friends, family & sponsors are welcome to attend. For further details or to register your interest please contact

The remaining North Division fixtures are as follows:

Blairgowrie v Lochore Welfare

Dundee Violet v Dundee North End

East Craigie v Coupar Angus

Forfar Albion v Luncarty

Kinnoull v Brechin Vics
