Scone secured their sixth league win of the season this afternoon when they defeated Lochore Welfare 4-0 at Central Park, Crosshill.
Jags dominated the match for most of the 90 minutes, restricting the home side to few shots on goal, with most being from distance, whilst Scone created a number of chances on a tight, bobbly pitch.
Scone took the lead after 10 minutes when a Hynd corner into the box was headed goalwards by Stephen Moon, his first header was blocked by home goalkeeper, Gary Inglis, but Moon was first to react to the loose ball and fired home from yards out.
Sinclair and Njie went close for Scone before Njie made it 2-0 just before the break when he scrambled home a Sinclair cross despite the desperate attempts of Davies to block the cross.
Lochore had their best chance of the game just seconds before the half time whistle when a Adam corner into the Scone box was met by the unmarked Kevin Brown but his goal bound header was hacked off the line by Hynd.
Scone went three up after 53 minutes when Kevin Sinclair collected the ball from Laing inside his own half of the park, played a quick 1-2 with Whitworth to work the ball up the left wing and then outpaced both Warrender and Powrie to supply a great finish from a tight angle.
Scone almost made it four minutes later when an Angus cross into the box was headed onto his own crossbar by Warrender and bounced down on the line with the Scone players claiming it had crossed the line, however the referee was correct not to award the goal.
Winton made a good block from Adam as Lochore tried to get back into the match but Scone continued to press and Whitworth and Njie had efforts saved by Inglis before Scone sealed the game with their fourth goal.
A Sinclair throw in on the left was collected by Whitworth and when he returned the ball to Sinclair his deep cross into the area was met perfectly with the head by Njie for his second of the game.
With three minutes remaining Sinclair saw a free kick from the edge of the box turned around the post by Inglis as Scone sought to add to their goal tally but the last word went to the home side who saw a long range effort from Adam easily held by Jags keeper, David Winton.
